1. Why must I enter the institution's name?

We will bind your thesis to the standard specified by your institution. If you have your own requirements just write "Private" in the institution field and we will follow your instructions.

2. Why must my document be in Portable Document Format (PDF)?

PDF is the open standard way of printing and viewing documents on different computers and printers whilst maintaining the exact structure and appearance of the original. It is currently the best way to accurately reproduce your thesis.

3. What's the quality of the paper you print with?

We use 100 gsm laser paper. It is a much higher quality than normal photocopy paper which is 80 gsm.

4. What is the minimum number of pages you can bind?

In order to maintain binding quality we have a lower limit of 35 pages.

5. What size of left-hand margin do you advise?

We recommend a 3 cm left margin to accommodate trimming and stitching.

6. Do you offer double-sided (duplex) printing?

Yes, this can be chosen on the "Printing Options" page. We recommend you check with your institution as most still specify single-sided printing.

7. What size paper do you use?

We currently print only on A4. Please contact us if you have any other requirements.

8. Can your discounts be used together?

Yes, both of our 5% discounts for 5 or more copies and for our 5-day service can be used together. The discount applies to the whole order, including delivery.

9. Do I need to pay VAT?

There is no VAT to pay on thesis binding. The delivery charge includes VAT at 17.5%.

10. Is the delivery charge per item or per order?

The delivery charge is per order. Please contact us if you require more than one delivery address.
